Harsha Rao

Harsha Rao is Vice President & General Manager at Synaptics, leading the High-Speed Video and Data Interface Business Unit focused on enabling next-generation distributed compute and Edge AI platforms. With more than 20 years of semiconductor industry experience, he has built and scaled global businesses across analog/mixed-signal semiconductors, sensing technologies, haptics, embedded systems, power management, and intelligent human-machine interfaces. Throughout his career, Harsha has successfully led high-growth product organizations spanning startups and multi-hundred-million-dollar business units, with deep expertise in P&L leadership, product strategy, and cross-functional global execution. Prior to Synaptics, he held executive leadership roles at AAC Technologies, Sensel, Cirrus Logic, and Texas Instruments, where he pioneered and expanded market-leading technologies in haptics, sensors, wireless charging, smart surfaces, and advanced connectivity solutions. An innovation-driven leader with more than 10 patents and numerous industry publications, Harsha is passionate about translating emerging technologies into scalable products that redefine user experiences across consumer, automotive, industrial, and AI-enabled edge computing markets.
